It amazes me.  There are several people on the Right trying to use that latest terrorist plot to make political points.  Sometimes they even outright lie about what the President has been doing, like stating that he isn't using the word "terror".  The funny thing is, that some of those people that are in charge of our anti-terrorism efforts are hold-overs from the Bush administration.

When I see this crap from the "Astroturfers" disrupting town-hall meetings at the behest of the large insurance and drug companies, it makes me sad for America.  They chant that they want their country back (if you don't know it, that's code for "They don't want a n***** in the White House").  Now, they are bringing guns to rallies.

Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or independent, this should be a wake up call.  The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Walmart is telling its employees not to vote Democratic in the upcoming presidential election, for fear that the Dems will make it easier for their workers to unionize.  This coming from a company that has a track record of treating its employees horribly, lik

I just don't get it.  Don't people value their rights?  I look at the news yesterday that ExxonMobil had record profits, again, and we put people in power who are pro big business.  Just wait. 

Amazing ain't it? FEMA has announced the companies who are going to clean up the mess in New Orleans: Halliburton, The Shaw Group and Bechtel. See an article about it here. Tell me, where does it stop? Halliburton already got the no bid contract to "clean up" Iraq, now they get one for Hurricane Katrina. You know, they may be the best company to do this, but because the V.P. used to head them up, I can't trust that it is.

So, George Bush comes out and says that the group that published the abuse findings about how we have treated our prisoners are "People that hate America". The group is Amnesty International. Their sole purpose is to free political hostages from around the world, like dissidents in China.

They got their information from the US Government, itself, through the Freedom of Information Act. The information came from military tribunal documents.
